Based on an ongoing probe of Sunanda Pushkar death case Delhi Police on Monday issued a notice to former Union Minister and Congress MP Shashi Tharoor for questioning.

Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi said, “A notice has been issued to Shashi Tharoor under Section 160 of CrPC. Tharoor may be quizzed within the next few days.”

When reporters asked further BS Bassi said,” whoever knows about the case will be quizzed, in that procedure today or they after tomorrow Tharoor will be questioned. The Congress leader will arrive this evening at national capital”.

“The Special Investigation Team (SIT) which is investigating the case, will soon arrive at logical conclusion in this case. They are looking into each and every aspect. They have already questioned many people and the remaining will be questioned very soon in coming days”. Bassi added

 Bassi also said sending Pushkar`s viscera has ben sent to abroad to ascertain the poisonous substance used.

Nearly a year before, on January 17, Sunanda Pushkar 51 found dead in a south Delhi hotel. The Delhi police registered a case under section 302 of the IPC, but no one has been named in the FIR

The Delhi police after filing a case have questioned Tharoor’s two family friends and Indira Gandhi International airport staff members, who has witness the alleged arguments between Shashi Tharoor and Sunanda Pushkar after their arrival from Kerala before her death.
