Congress party vice-president, Rahul Gandhi may be chosen as the President of the party in today’s Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting. Media reported that seniors in the party are not in favor of his choice as he was not able to run the party during the general elections and state elections. 

While some section of Congress party from Uttar Pradesh recommending Priyanka Gandhi for this highest post of the party through banners and posters. Rahul Gandhi is being supported by many congress party youth workers. He has to prove at least this time in Delhi elections if he be made the chief of the party.

He was made Vice-President on 19th January 2013 after creating this post in party. He is representing Amethi Constituency in Parliament from 2004.
