The Shashi Tharoor-Sunanda Pushkar controversy refuses to die. Now journalist Nalini Singh has given a statement to the magistrate that Shashi Tharoor had plans to marry Pakistani journalist Mehar Tarar. Implying he would be divorcing Sunanda.

Nalini Singh, in her statement, said that she had talked to Sunanda hours before her death. And Sunanda had confided in her that her husband Shashi Tharoor had plans to marry Mehar Tarar, according to reports in ToI.

According to Nalini's statement, Sunanda had said that Tharoor and Tarar were had been exchanging intimate romantic messages. One of Tarar's message implied that Tharoor would be divorcing Sunanda after the 2014 Lok Sabha polls to marry Tarar. Another message from Tarar said that she could not live without Tharoor. Sunanda had also said Tharoor's family was encouraging his affair with Tarar, according to Nalini Singh's statement.

Nalini had questioned Sunanda whether the Twitter messages posted on Shashi Tharoor's account were genuine. Pushkar had said that it was genuine and probably somebody who really cared for her had posted them in the social platform. Pushkar also talked about taking over Tharoor's crimes related to the IPL. However, Sunanda did not say anything about going public on the matter, added Nalini Singh.

Meanwhile, reports about Shashi Tharoor and Sunanda Pushka fighting incessantly before Sunanda's death in Leela Hotel was confirmed by her servant Narain. As per the servant, the couple fought from midnight to 4am on the day of her suicide in January, 2014.

Narain had also stated that after the fight Sunanda had called someone and narrated the entire fight. The statement was validated when police scanned her call records and found that Sunanda had indeed called her brother.

According to Nalini's statement to the SDM, when the journalist had prodded Sunanda about being happily married to the Congress leader, she had said that Tharoor wanted to make a statement and that Pushkar had told Tharoor to do "whatever the ****" he wants to do.

Sunanda also revealed that she was very ill with lupus and stomach TB and that she feared cancer. As per Sunanda's statement to Nalini, she had admitted herself into a hospital on her own, and Tharoor never took her even to a doctor or a hospital.

Sunanda also talked about Tharoor having a romantic liaison with another woman and refered to a flight from Pune, according to Nalini Singh's statement.
