The historical day is finally here and the stage is all set for Narendra Modi's coronation.

As the 15th Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi gears up for the swearing-in ceremony along with his Cabinet of 24 Ministers, 11 Ministers of State and 10 Independent Charges this evening in the majestic forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhawan in the company of foreign dignitaries and SAARC leaders, watch out for the top ministries. While the portfolio of these ministers are uncertain yet, the faces to have made it to NaMo's Cabinet are:

1. Rajnath Singh
2. Arun Jaitley
3. Nitin Gadkari
4. Sushma Swaraj
5. Venkaiah Naidu
6. Sadanand Gowda
7. Uma Bharti
8. Najma Heptullah
9. Gopinath Munde
10. Ramvilas Paswan
11. Kalraj Mishra
12. Maneka Gandhi
13. Ananth Kumar
14. Ravi Shankar Prasad
15. Ashok Gajapathi Raju
16. Anant Geete
17. Harsimrat Kaur Badal
18. Narendra Singh Tomar
19. Jual Oram
20. Radha Mohan Singh
21. Thawar Chand Gehlot
22. Smriti Irani
23. Dr. Harsh Vardhan
24. Narendra Modi

Speculations are that BJP chief Rajnath Singh might get Ministry of Home Affairs, while Sushma Swaraj will be put in charge of external affairs. Arun Jaitley might get finance, Nitin Gadkari transportation, Dr Harsh Vardhan health,  and Ravi Shankar Prasad might head information & broadcasting.

With Modi, primarily focusing on 'minimum government, maximum governance line', expect “convergence in the activities of various ministries where one Cabinet minister will be heading a cluster of ministries working in complementary sectors.” This explains the downsize in the top layers of government, it seems.
