The campaign for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections ended on a high-decibel note for AAP convener, Arvind Kejriwal, quite literally, on Tuesday.

Kejriwal was left  red faced and a swollen eye after an autodriver smacked him during his roadshow in North-West Delhi's Sultanpuri area.

The auto driver climbed on Kejriwal's campaign jeep during his election roadshow and after garlanding him hit him hard on his left cheek.

Like his previous instances, the AAP convener was quick to accuse the BJP and Narendra Modi for the attack.

"I don't understand why some people resort to violence for becoming the prime minister. If you think by attacking us, we will keep quite then you are wrong," Kejriwal said.

"There will be more attacks, and we can also get killed," he added.

This is the second time in the last four days the Mr Kejriwal has been physically attacked. Previously, he had ink, mobil oil and even an egg hurled at him.

"I forgive those who attack me. Assault me as much as you want, I won't retaliate. I appeal to volunteers not to retaliate, otherwise there is no difference between us and them," Mr Kejriwal said later, insisting that he still doesn't want security.

Lali, the auto-driver, was beaten up by AAP supporters before being handed to the police. A resident of Aman Vihar in Outer Delhi, Lali was upset with Kejriwal over unfulfilled promises made to auto-drivers.

Post the incident, Kejriwal  went to Rajghat along with other AAP leaders. "I went to Rajghat, as Gandhiji was a disciple of truth and non-violence, and prayed for strength," he said.

Fueling speculations over the attacks, Kejriwal said the recent physical attacks could be a part of a part larger conspiracy.

"Questions arise in my mind on who is the mastermind behind these attacks. This is a do-or-die situation. Why do these parties only attack us and not other parties?" he asked.
