More than 20 youngsters of Indian origin, aged under 30 and hailing from diverse fields like sports, media, education and finance, have made it to the Forbes' annual list of the world's brightest young stars. What more, the magazine has hailed the young force as “prodigies reinventing the world right now.”

The Forbes third annual '30 Under 30' list comprises of young achievers in 15 different fields. The young stars to make a cut into this years final edition is pop singers Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift, founder and CEO of the short-form blogging platform Tumblr David Karp, tennis player Maria Sharapova and Pakistani girls' rights activist Malala Yousafza

"This is an exhilarating time to be young and ambitious. Never before has youth been such an advantage. These founders and funders, brand builders and do-gooders aren't waiting around for a proper career bump up the establishment ladder. Their ambitions are way bigger and perfectly suited to the dynamic, entrepreneurial, and impatient digital world they grew up in," Forbes said.

The list of 450 young achievers includes names of 23 Indian men and women who are doing exemplary work in their respective fields. From establishing learning centres in India to finding a software that helps teachers track classroom behavior and from being the vice-president of a Jacksonville based football team to running an exclusive chocolate boutique, these young Indian turks are waving their flag everywhere.

Some of the Indians who have made a cut into the Forbes' coveted '30 under 30' list are Ganesh Betanabhatla (28), Managing Director at investment firm Talara Capital; Rushabh Doshi (29), a trader at financial firm DW Investment Management; Chaitanya Mehra (28), a portfolio manager at investment firm Och-Ziff Capital Management, Neil Mehta (29), founder of investment firm Greenoaks Capital; Sahil Lavingia (21), founder and CEO of Gumroad; Karan Chopra (29), co-founder of GADCO, Krishna Ramkumar (28), co-founder of learning group Avanti; Ajaita Shah (29), founder of India-based Frontier Markets; Kavita Shukla (29) inventor and patentor of FreshPaper, among others.
