Young Telugu actor Uday Kiran is no more.

The Filmfare winning actor apparently hanged himself to death on Sunday night in his Srinagar Colony, Punjagutta residence.

According to reports, before hanging himself, the actor had called up his friends and told them about his decision. But before they could respond, he disconnected the call.

The incident took place at about 2:24 am, Monday. His wife and friends rushed rushed him to Apollo hospital in Jubilee Hills, but the actor was declared dead on arrival.

The reason for the suicide is yet to be known, though sources speculate that he was bogged down with family problems.

Uday Kiran, best known for his romantic roles in Telugu films, debuted in 2000 with Chitram. He will also be remembered for his films 'Nuvvu Nenu' and 'Manasantha Nuvve'.

His last movie was 'Jai Sriram' that released on April, 2013.
