Samsung, South Korean electronic company, has introduced three new variants of the Gear S2 smartwatch, complete set of applications as well as dial faces for its customers in India.
Customers can purchase the wearables at Samsung retail channels across the country. The cost of the Gear S2 white is Rs.24,300 and the Gear S2 Classic gold and platinum variants is Rs.34,900.
In a statement, Samsung India Electronics mobile business director Manu Sharma said that, “The introduction of these new Gear S2 variants with additional apps and watch faces will further add to the style and convenience quotient.”
New apps available include Uber cab services, My Notes in Gear, mapleleafonlinecasino.com, G’Night sleep tracking app, and Xenozu, YouTube browsing app, are available with comprehensive solution around fitness, health, style and connectivity.
Host of new games is included in Gear S2. Thus, intuitive rotating bezel is enabled as a natural game controller for games like Vroom Rider and Hextris. Devices are made light to stainless steel chassis. They look sleek and slim on the wrist.
The 302 pixel-per-inch density Super AMOLED display is of 1.2 inch containing ceramic-coated gorilla glass. The Gear S2 classic is designed to pair with any standard 20mm watch straps . Accessory selection from Samsung has strap adaptor.
