Samsung has announced its new flagship Android smartphone, the Galaxy S5 that will come with a biometric sensor button and a gold edition, a la Apple iPhone 5S style. Not just, the new Samsung phone will also have faster camera and heartrate sensor and will also be dust and water resistant. Now, how cool is that?

Unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, the mobile phone will be available in 150 countries, including India, from April 11 onwards. Samsung is yet to make the price public.

Although, on the surface, the new phone does not look very different from its predecessor, the Galaxy S4, brings a number of new features to the device.

Boasting of a slew of next-gen smartphone features, the Galaxy S5 has a slightly larger 5.1-inch Super AMOLED (1080 X 1920p) display and is hopped up by a 2.5GHz quad-core processor and 2GB RAM. The new phone will come in 16GB and 32GB internal storage variants, which will be expandable up to 64GB through microSD card.

Equipped with Google's latest Android 4.4 version, KitKat, this phone, unlike it's predecessors will have less on-board apps. It will only retains the most popular ones like S Voive, S Health, ChatOn.

A faster wifi and increased battery life are further bonus!
