10 years ago, a 17-year old player barged onto the international scene with a  spectacular win against Serena Williams in the 2004 Wimbledon final.

Today, she hopes to end a decade of great tennis at Roland Garros by beating Simona Halep of Romania to claim her fifth Grand Slam. And the best part even the odds are all in her favor.

Maria Sharapova, is the holder of four Grand slams and is the biggest sports icon in the world. Halep, on the other hand, is an unassuming 22-year-old tennis player from the Black Sea port city of Constanta. This is her first Grand Slam final.

The 6 feet 2 inched Sharapova is likely to tower over her opponent 5 feet six inches Halep.

That said, Halep, has by far, the most impressive figures of the two in this year's tournament. She zoomed to the final without dropping a set, while Sharapova has lost the first set in all her last three matches.

It's the never-say-die attitude of the Russian that has bagged her 19 wins in a row on clay.
