After Carolina Marin lost in the semifinals Saina became world number one, and with smashing the final event she is much praised by the sports lovers.

Srikanth has lost his first set but showed his perfection to beat Axelsen for his bagging second Super Series title. "I didn't play my best in the first game. I was a little disappointed. I started the second game really well and it helped. In the third, it was 12-12 and after that there was no looking back. I got a few lucky net chords and my smashes came off rather well," said Srikanth.

Both the winners headed to Malaysian Open, which starts from Wednesday. Now all eyes will be on Indian players, who are on winning marathon.
