Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party has a new player — former India skipper and hockey legend Dhanraj Pillay.

Pillay was inducted into the AAP team on Monday and will be campaigning for them across India.

Pillay is the third Indian hockey player after Dilip Tirkey and Pargat Singh to foray into politics.

The Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award winning is one of the biggest icons in Indian hockey.

He has won the Padma Shri award in 2000 and also led the side that won the Asian Games in 2002. He won player-of-the-tournament in the Champions Trophy in Germany in the same year.

With one such sportsman joining the team, AAP seems to be growing strength to strength everyday.
