Another noteworthy feat for the Spanish forward, Cristiano Ronaldo. The Ballon d'Or winner became Portugal's all-time leading scorer on Wednesday, goaling twice, as Portugal beat Cameroon 5-1 in a warm-up match for the summer tournament in Brazil.

Ronaldo stamped his place in the record book netting twice, in the 21st and 83rd minutes, respectively, catapulting his international tally to 49.

The 2013 FIFA world player outdid Pauleta, who retired in 2006 after scoring 47 goals in 88 games. This was Ronaldo's 10th appearance.

"I knew it would come eventually," Ronaldo said. "It's special because I've been in the national team for 10 years now. It's all down to hard work."
