The 8th July 2015, former India captain Sourav Ganguly turned 43. He was born in Kolkata on 1972, the left-handed batsman and one of the most successful test skipper of the Team India, debuted the international cricket against West Indies at Brisbane on Jan 11, 1992. 

Ganguly indeed is a legend with records both as a batsman and as the national skipper.

Below are some of the landmark achievements in his career.
1. 1996, he became the only third batsman to score a century in the first of his two innings.
2. His century at Lord's was also the highest by any batsman on debut.
3. Became the second quickest - after Viv Richards - to reach 6000 ODI runs. He took 147 innings to reach the figure.
4. He was the highest scorer in the calendar year of 1997.
5. Between 2000 and 2005, he captained India to 21 Test wins.
