According to the media speculations, new BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya is paving way for former captain and his close aide Sourav Ganguly to become the coach for Indian cricket squad by replacing Duncan Fletcher, whose tenure ended after the World Cup. Ganguly’s achievements as the skipper might have influenced the president, but no assurance, or guarantee about the post was not given to Dada.
Some persons in the board prefer the Mr Clean in cricket Rahul Dravid, who has good name and consistent record in the game. Dravid is a respected personality and showing his quality of commanding as the mentor of Rajasthan Royals.
However, the interested candidates aspiring the much prestige post should apply after notification and should undergo for interview by the board members. If the high profile coach is appointed the Team Director's post which is being held by Ravi Shastri may be reviewed.
Many cricket legends are eying for the high-profile post in cricket world. On April 26th meeting, the board may come to a decision on notifying the post.
