Communication is the life and breath of a relationship. Always listen to your partner and try to understand what he/she is trying to convey. Lack of attention while your partner is speaking could lead to misunderstanding. Your partner may be conveying an important message so it's important to listen carefully. If you want a long-term relationship with your partner then work on your communication skills.

Let past remain there

There is no point digging up the past as it's gone and cannot be changed. Let it rest there. And if your partner's past has nothing to do with you then don't even bother about it. You were not there at events in the past, so it should not be concerned about it. Live in the present with an eye on the future if you value your relationship.

No comparing

Comparison of any kind is a strict 'No No'. When you compare your partner to another man/woman, it affects his/her ego. Relationship is based on mutual respect and trust for your partner. Respect and love your partner for being the person he/she is.
