Men who are emotionally dissatisfied are likely to have an extra-marital affair. This happens when their spouse or partner is too busy with children and other chores. Such men feel ignored and seek another woman for emotional comfort.

In some cases men have an extra-marital affair out of vindiction. If a woman confesses of her extra-marital relationship, the man does the same. Such affairs are meant to spite her. It is usually done by men who cannot forgive their wives.
