Regular Drowsiness is the problem of many, in spite of sufficient sleeping and appropriate diet levels. This problem makes a person less active and sleepy at important occasions and responsible areas. Some people would love to sleep in the workplaces in the afternoons, after having a good lunch and underneath cool place. If it continues often, we have to think it as a disorder emerged from obesity and depression.

Yes, obesity and depression cause sleepiness every time, as per a new research done by the researchers of Penn State College of Medicine. The report mentioned that daytime sleepiness is a symptom of obesity or weight gain, and those who stops experiencing sleepiness in daytime are in way to weight loss.

And they observed that the BMI and sleepiness, independent of sleep duration, irrespective of their tiredness and the time they had slept in previous nights. The fat cells, chiefly from abdominal fat, produce immune compounds called cytokines that promote sleepiness. The researchers have analysed the self reports of excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) at the baseline and again an average of 7.5 years later in 1,395 men and women.

The excessive sleepiness leads to low productivity and unbalanced health. To overcome these problems, every should practice moderate physical exercises and should have a watch on obese conditions. People should avoid mental tensions by practicing meditation, yoga and other mind related exercises.
