Your daily gym workout is great, but it may not be enough. If you do everything right in the gym and everything wrong the rest of the day, it equals to none.

Slouching in front of the computer screen all day long won't make you any productive. On the contrary, not taking breaks in between work, not stretching or walking after sitting for long hours and even wrongly sitting in front of the computer can lead to migraine, loss of vision, carpal tunnel and a wad of other health complications.

Get your posture right and you can save yourself from a world of pain. Here is how to sit right at work:

 

1. While sitting, push your hips farthest into the chair.

2. Sit straight and give support to the small of your back.

3. Adjust the seat height so that your eyes level with your computer screen.

4. Rest your wrists on the desk.

5. Don't stretch your hand too far while using the mouse.

6. Make sure your feet rests on a floor or a footstool.
