While it's nice to be fashion conscious, but blindly following your style icons can be disastrous for your look. Makeup is meant to enhance your appearance and not make you look scary. Here are few makeup don'ts that you wouldn't be seen dead.

Overplucked eyebrows

Ladies spare the eyebrows. Don't go for very thin eyebrows like ramp models. In real life it looks sad and villainous. A face with overplucked eyebrows is unappealing, so save the grace and go for normal eyebrows in a shape that suits your face.

Avoid pastel shade eye shadows

Ramp models look gorgeous in pastel shade eye shadows - pink, baby blues or violet. But they are apt for the ramp only. You don't need to ape all of the ramp trends in your daily makeup and wardrobe. But if you still want to try them out then use them very softly and one at a time.

Bronze look

The bronze look is another tricky makeup that is best if you can avoid. But if you think that you need that look to appear sexy then take care to apply just the right amount. Remember, you want the perfect sun-kissed look and not the sun-burned look that isn't sexy nor chic. Go for a bronzer that’s darker than your natural skin tone by one to two shades.

Un-kissable lips

Would you like to kiss a man with chapped lips. Eeew! That how most women would react. So you know why you need to give up the frosty lipsticks. Your lips should appear luscious and dewey, which can be achieved using a simple gloss and shimmer.

Scary nails

Do you want to scare people with your nails. Definitely not. So give up your talon nails as they look ugly and are also not functional. Your nails should look pretty and not out of a horror movie.
