Green tea has great health benefits. But the used green tea bag can also be used to enhance your appearance. So after a rejuvenating cup of green tea don't chuck away the tea bag into the dustbin. Here are some additional benefits of used green tea bags.

Face scrub

Green tea contains tannin, an astringent that shrinks skin miraculously. The used green tea bag can be used to tighten the skin. Make a facial scrub with used green tea to enhance your beauty. Take the used green tea and mix with granulated sugar and water. This exfoliating scrub is natural and gentle on the skin, while giving radiant glow to your face. This natural scrub can be stored in the fridge for some time.

Cools your eyes

Used green tea bags are great to provide relief to tired eyes. Cool the used tea bags in the fridge. When your eyes feel tired just take the cooled tea bags and place them over your eyes for relief. It helps to reduce swelling around your eye area and also tighten the skin. After this cool tea bag treatment you look and feel relaxed.

Face mask

Make a facial mask using green tea, baking soda and honey. The green tea and baking soda should be of equal quantity and add some honey to it. Green tea helps to tighten your skin, while honey rejuvenates the skin. Baking soda is an excellent exfoliator and also works as skin detox.

If you don't have time to apply a face mask, you can run the tea bag over hot water. Squeeze out all water and rub the tea bag all over your face. Do this for a few few minutes and you will be rewarded with an instant glow.

Shiny hair

Green tea is great for hair as it gives healthy shine to your mane. Boil a a few green tea bags in water for 10 to 15 minutes. Leave the green tea water overnight. Pour this water on your damp hair the next morning. Keep it on at least for 10 minutes. Wash it off and shampoo your hair later. Use a sulphate-free shampoo for optimum result.
