Superstar Rajinikanth has been facing the heat in Karnataka over the Cauvery water issue between the states. Rajini spoke on the behalf of Tamil Nadu several times recently which landed his next film Kaala’s release in troubles in Karnataka. The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce banned the film after the distributors decided not to release the film in the state. Now the makers of Kaala filed a writ petition in Karnataka High Court to ensure a smooth release for Kaala.
Kaala makers filed a writ petition challenging Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce asking them the reasons for banning Kaala. They even requested that the High Court should intervene in the issue and ensure security across the theatres in Karnataka for a smooth release for the film. PA Ranjith directed Kaala and Rajinikanth, Eswari Rao, Huma Qureshi, Nana Patekar, Samuthirakani are the lead actors in Kaala which has been produced by Wunderbar Films. Kaala has been slated for release on June 7th in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages.
