Supreme Court of India gives stern warning to kolkata Police commissioner today after CBI’s Petition.

Kolkata police Commissioner Rajeev kumar was central figure in constitutional and political crisis in yesterday’s face Off between WB CM Mamata Banerjee and central government.

Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi said “If Kolkata Police Commissioner even remotely thinks of destroying evidence, bring the material before this Court. We will come down so heavily on him that he will regret.”

After the CBI complained to top court that police Commissioner is not co-operating in the investigation.

CBI also suspected that the police officer is destroying the evidence.

Solicitor general Tushar Mehta told the bench led by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi that “The commissioner was served summons four times but he still did not cooperate.”

The judges of SC decided to hear the CBI plea on Tuesday and asked Solicitor General to file an Affidavit listing all its points.

On, Sunday political crisis broke down when CBI officials went to kolkata Police Commissioner residence to question him in alleged Chit Fund Scam.

But some of the CBI officials were arrested by kolkata police officers for few hours, but they were released later in evening.

Soon West Bengal Police surrounded CBI Office in Kolkata. However, they were soon left the area as CRPF forces taken control of the premises.

But West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee claimed that CBI officials came at police commissioner’s residence as part of secret operation.

She blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and NSA Ajit Doval for these actions.

She later sat on dharna to protest in order to “Save the Constitution and Save the Democracy.”
