DMK (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) chief and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister of M. Karunanidhi's health remains critical as of Tuesday morning, and he is under medical supervision at Chennai's Kauvery Hospital.

The bulletin from the hospital on Monday evening said there was a decline in his condition, and that "his response to medical interventions over the next 24 hours would determine his prognosis".

Thousands of DMK cadre and supporters are gathered outside the hospital, and there is a heavy deployment of police ensure no untoward incident takes place.
