A passenger at Air India Milan-Delhi flight attempted to forcefully enter the plane's cockpit which consequently led the flight to return to the Italian airport not long after take-off.

According to Air Indian spokesperson, the incident took place on Thursday, following which the passenger on AI 138 was deboarded and handed over to the local police for investigation.

The passenger named Gurupreet Singh, an Indian-origin's misconduct led to a delay of 2 hours and 35 minutes. There were total of 245 passengers onboard the plane.

The investigation is underway.
