A team of officials from the Union Government will arrive Kerala on August 7 to visit flood-affected regions in the state and assess the degree of damage.

The seven-member team headed by A.V. Dharma Reddy, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs is scheduled to tour flood-hit areas from August 8 and interact with Ministers and officials from the State government and the district administration.

According to government sources, the itinerary was being finalized in consultation with the Ministry.

The Central team is slated to hold discussions with Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Revenue Minister E. Chandrasekharan on August 9.
