Virat Kohli-led Indian Test squad for Sri Lanka out

Virat Kohli-led Indian Test squad for Sri Lanka was announced. Amit Mishra returned to the squad after four years. After the well-earned rest, senior players of Indian cricket returned to the test squad for Sri Lanka. Even Ravi Shastri returned as the team director, after a break.

The squad included specialist batsmen Murali Vijay and Shikhar Dhawan, skipper Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma and A team captain Cheteshwar Pujara. The seventh batsman and reserve opener is KL Rahul who made a comeback. Wriddhiman Saha was the first-choice wicketkeeper.

Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Varun Aaron are four pacers who are included in the squad. Ravichandran Ashwin and Harbhajan Singh retained their slots for off-spinners, while Amit Mishra got in as third spinner, after a gap of four years.

India and Sri Lanka are set to play three-match Test series from August 12 at Galle (August 12-16), Colombo's P.Sara Oval (August 20-24) and the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo (August 28 - September 1).
