The captain of Bangladesh ODI cricket team met with a minor accident while travelling to the Shere Bangla Stadium from his home on a cycle rickshaw. His rickshaw and a bus collided each other mildly, and his both hands got injured.

He is a crucial player in the team that is practicing hard for series winning against Indian team. The player has to lead the team in three ODIs starting from June 18th. If he recovers well, he may join the final team clashing with the powerful Indian team.

"This is unfortunate. We are concerned about his palm," Bangladesh coach Chandika Hathurasingha said. The accident took place while he was going for team’s training session.
