Most newlyweds opt for a serene picturesque place with mild temperatures as their honeymoon destination. But not everyone wants to do the normal things like the rest of us. Some couples would like to explore the weird on their honeymoon.

Meet Neil and Helen Melville-Kenney, who didn't want a traditional honeymoon and decided to take a trip to the Door to Hell.

The newly-weded couple went to the Derweze Gas Crater in Turkmenistan, popularly known as the Door to Hell.

The satanic pit of lava is a place that most couples would not choose as a honeymoon destination. Instead the popular name ' Door to Hell' is what most women would like to give as a nickname to a wedding ceremony.

But Neil and Helen Melville-Kenney are at a stage where they can enjoy and appreciate the satanic pit of lava. Which is beautiful.

Technically the 'Door to Hell' is a man-made phenomenon. The burning pit, where natural gas emanates from the location, was lit by Soviet scientists in 1971. Since then it has been burning continuously.
