Actor Robert Downey Jr. may leave the Iron Man franchise. Speculations are on that Robert Downey Jr. may not be seen in the fourth instalment of the Iron Man series.

Ever since speculation started that Robert Downey may not be part of the fourth movie of the Iron Man franchise, his role in the next sequel has been kept under uraps.

Media reports suggest that Downey Jr. does not want to leave. But the final decision will be taken by Marvel Studios.

Downey says that it's upto Kevin Feige (Marvel Studios president) Ike Perlmutter ( CEO of Marvel Entertainment) and Disney to approach actors with proposal. And the actors have a discretion whether they would like to agree or disagree with the proposal, added Downey.

During an interview, Downey said that there's a lot of agreement when things are doing exceedingly well.

Robert Downey Jr. plays the character of a genius billionaire playboy philanthropist in the Iron Man franchise.

His upcoming films include 'The Judge', which has Robert Duvall and Robert Downey Jr. starring in lead roles. Directed by David Dobkin, the movie will release on Sept. 4 at the annual Toronto International Film Festival.
