Health and sickness do not discriminate! They may be rich and famous and gorgeous, but at the end of the day, these seemingly infallible celebs are humans too and as such, prone to humanly fallibilities like illnesses. Yes, even the much idolized celebrities are humans and nothing really serves as a more sobering reminder of this than health issues that plagues rest of the world alike. The former Miss Teen All American and a celebrated actress is battling Diabetes mellitus type 1, a disease that hinders the autoimmune destruction of the insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas. Untreated, type 1 diabetes can be ultimately fatal. Despite having diabetes, Halle Berry eats right, exercises and makes health a priority to ensure she leads a normal life.

Lady Gaga
Singing sensation and fashion icon Lady Gaga has been diagnosed with borderline lupus. The“Born This Way” hitmaker also suffers from synovitis, a painful inflammation of the joints that was apparently the result of a hip injury she suffered but can also be caused by lupus.

Kim Kardashian
Looking at her flawless appearances, it would be hard to say that Kim Kardashian suffers from an unsightly skin disorder like psoriasis. She has red, flaky patches on her legs which she beautifully conceals with makeup.

Toni Braxton
In 2003, during a concert, Toni Braxton had passed out. Later, she complained of feeling light-headed, fatigue and a tightness in her chest. A trip to the emergency room revealed that she had pericarditis, an inflammation of the tissue surrounding the heart. In 2008, the singer was diagnosed with microvascular angina and in 2010, she developed lupus.
