Another Hollywood wedding has hit the rock. Ending their 18-years of association is the famous tinseltown couple of Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas.

Parents of 18-year-old Stella, the duo have decided to call off their wedding citing irreconcilable differences.

The breakup is amicable, although Griffith has asked for spousal support. Now splitting up their extensive real estate portfolio is going to be arduous given that they have properties both in Spain and the U.S.

This is Griffith's fourth divorce. She has been married to Don Johnson (1976 and again in 1989) and Steven Bauer (1982) previously and has a daughter, Dakota Johnson and son, Alexander from both the spouses respectively.

Banderas was undergoing a separation from then wife Ana Leza when he met Griffith. The two got hitched in a low-key affair in London on May 14, 1996.

'They've been down this road before but I never thought it would actually happen,' the star's friend  said. 'There is so much love there.'

But despite the divorce being filed, sources hope that  the split is unlikely to turn into an ugly showbiz divorce.

'I could never see it getting nasty,' the friend told People. 'It's just not them.'
