One of the most offered naivedyams or prasadams to Lord Ganesha during the vinayaka chavithi for chaturthi festival is undrallu or kudumulu. These are even offered during varalakshmi puja to Goddess Varalakshmi and during Navratri to Godess Durga. Try to prepare undrallu this time for vinayaka chavithi festival as this is the easiest way to win grace of lord Ganesha.

Ingredients required to prepare undrallu:

Rice rawa or rice flour: 1 cup
Salt to taste
Water: ½ to 1 cup
Chana dal roasted cumin: small cup
Ghee: 1 tsp

Method of preparation of undrallu:

- Soak dal overnight or minimum half hour

- Take a pot with heavy bottom, pour water, boil, add ghee, salt and cumin if required; add dal and stir.

- Now keep pouring rava with one hand and mixing with another one to avoid lumps.

- Continue stirring and cook till water evaporates totally. Cover the pot and keep under low flame for 2 min. Leave for around 15 min covered. Transfer the content to a wide plate and let it cool.

- Grease your palms, make balls with the dough, place them in a wide plate.

- Now steam them for 10 min on a high flame.
