Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi, who was on a break, is all set make a comeback, that too, with a bang.
According to reports, the actor will play a role of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his biopic.
The news was confirmed by critic and analyst Taran Adarsh on his Twitter handle.
IT’S OFFICIAL... Vivekanand Oberoi [Vivek Oberoi] to star in Narendra Modi biopic, titled #PMNarendraModi... Directed by Omung Kumar... Produced by Sandip Ssingh... First look poster will be launched on 7 Jan 2019... Filming starts mid-Jan 2019.— taran adarsh (@taran_adarsh) January 4, 2019
The biopic is being directed by Omung Kumar who is popular for helming the Mary Kom biopic starring Priyanka Chopra. The biopic is likely to go on floors this month and will be shot extensively in Gujarat.
Originally, veteran actor Paresh Rawal was roped in to play the role of Modi, but then the actor eventually backed out citing unknown reasons.
With the Lok Sabha elections drawing close, the makers plan to release the film before the crucial polls which will be seen as a litmus test for PM Modi.
