Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan will replace Hrithik Roshan in 'Shuddhi', according to the latest buzz in Tinsel town. Rumours of King Khan being a part of the project began soon after a Twitter post by producer Karan Johar stated that he has plans of Christmas 2015 for the release of 'Shuddhi'.

Post Hrithik's backing out of the movie, Karan has clearly indicated that he wants a superstar for his  film and that the new actors are not being considered. This resulted in speculation regarding Shahrukh joining the project, as the actor is a favourite of Dharma production.

Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone is rumoured to be playing the role of lead actress in the movie. Her name kept popping up, even when Kareena Kapoor Khan was the official heroin of 'Suddhi'.

Hrithik opted out of the movie following a head injury and its surgery subsequently. 'Shuddhi' has been postponed repeatedly mainly due to Hrithik. Prior to that, Kareena Kapoor Khan in an interview had said that she would re-think about the film as she wasn't sure of its status.

B-Town is also abuzz with reports of Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone replacing Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor in 'Shuddhi'.

Besides, rumours are rife that the Karan Malhotra directed 'Shuddhi' will be starred by Ranveer Singh and his 'Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela' heroin Deepika Padukone.
