The first day collection of Dhoom: 3 has set the box-office cash ringing. Aamir Khan-starrer Dhoom: 3 is the story of high-tech robbery that revolves around a a cop, a smart thief and his girlfriend, with bollywood action, music, glitz and glamour.

According to reports, the movie had more than 90% occupancy in the morning shows and multiplexes had a larger crowd inspite of Friday being a working day. If the succes of the first day will continue, the movie is likely to break Bollywood's previous box office records. The much anticipated Dhoom3 from Yash Raj Films is a 2-hour 53-minute thriller starring Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaiff has everything - star attraction, advance bookings and corporate and block bookings, said Big Cinemas' COO, Ashish Saxena.

Dhoom3 could have collected anything between 31 to 35 crore on its first day. The record collections could be due to the high cost of tickets or even the timing of the film's release.
