The heat of the Nestle’s Maggi controversy has spread to every state in India and some of the NGOs are attributing the possible health damage to Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit and Preity Zinta for serving as brand ambassadors.

Recent reports revealed that Maggi is carrying Monosodium glutamate (MSG) lead content, which is harmful for the children. The hazardous content in the ready-to-cook food could damage the health.

However, the actors have been able to get support from film fraternity and even political outfits like Shiv Sena have ruled out the attributions besides questioning the quality and the negligence of the concerned officials for these many years.

Amitabh Bachchan has reiterated that he has not been endorsing the product as the contract term got ended. The governments of Delhi, Uttara Khand, Gujrath and several other states have banned the product for certain days till the final report out.

The military canteens, Kendriya Bandaras have stopped selling Maggi.
