Actor Emraan Hashmi is gearing up to play the most challenging role of his life.

The actor, who will star in the biopic made on controversial cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin, will apparently star in not one, not two but three different looks in the film.

An insider says, "Though the biopic on Azharuddin was supposed to commence in mid-2014, Kunal (director) Deshmukh and Emraan Hashmi are currently working on another project together. And they both want to take a break before they start shooting the biopic. So, the schedule is now locked for January 2015. Emraan will be working with the team to finalise the three looks for the film before that."

The biopic will encompass the 51-year-old's entre life, starting from his late teen years to becoming the captain of cricket team as well as the controversies related to him.

Producer Ekta Kapoor paid a handsome amount to former cricketer to acquire the rights to the biopic.
